Foods for hair

Losing hair,balding, premature graying can be related to genetic factors, stress, chemical imbalance, unhealthy diet, etc. Over consumption of sugar and meat products may contribute to hair problems. Papaya

Papaya is believed to be helpful with breast development for young girls. It has about 3 times as much Vitamin A as banana, almost 70 times as much Vitamin C as water melon. Eating papaya on a regular basis will help women maintain, even enhance the fullness and firmness of the breasts. It is low in sugar and calorie so it is a wonderful diet fruit.

*Honey-lemon plum wine

1/4 cup plum wine
lemon juice extracted from 1/2 fresh lemon
1/3 cup water
1 tsp honey

Mix all material and heat up to warmer than body temperature (Do not boiling), serve warm.

Benefit: Enhancing blood circulation; good for people with high blood pressure; also improves a cold constitution

Tofu

Soybean products contains isoflavones, a form of female hormone estrogen which may reduce the symptoms of menopause; lower the risk of breast cancer, prostate cancer and heart decease. If cooking is a problem for you, opt for 1 cup of soy "milk" every day. Avoid the kinds that are heavily sugared.


*Fruit & Veggie Cocktail(1)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro
1 medium size lemon, peeled
1 medium size orange,
peeled

Blend all material in a blender, then filter with a clothe.

Benefits: Drink this juice often can reduce freckles and blemishes.

Wax Gourd

For thousands of years, Wax gourd has been one of the favorite beauty food for Chinese people. Wax gourd will help body lose excessive water weight by improving the urinating process, it detoxify your body and help skin stay bright and beautiful. It is also believe to be helpful with men's sexual ability.

A lot of people here in the US are not familiar with this kind of vegetable, you can find it in an Chinese market (or Asian market. It looks like a longer version of water melon but with heavy white frost on it.

1 medium ice berg lettuce
1/4 cup Carrots
1 apple

Blend together, serve immediately.

Benefits: Improves dry skin symptoms; reduces eye strains; strengthens immune system.

Cilantro

Rich in Vitamin A C, Calcium, iron, carotene. It can improve low blood pressure, dim/dark complex, blemishes; beneficial for skin and eyes. See the recipes on the right.

3 oz cabbage
1 tomato 
1 oz cilantro

Blend all material to liquid and serve immediately

Cabbage

Cabbage is called the "king of vegetables" in China. Recent researches show that regular consumption of cabbage could lower the risks of breast and ovarian cancer. It is also very rich in fiber.

Aloe Vera

One of the richest medical and nutritional plants used since ancient times. It has 20 minerals, 18 amino acids and 12 vitamins. Aside from providing with various nutrients, Aloe Vera extracts (juice, gel) is proven to be beneficial to the immune system, and helps maintain a healthy digesting system.


*Tonic chicken soup for woman

2 tomato
1/2 cup chicken breast
1 tea spoon safflower
garlic

cut 1 tomato into 6 pieces;
blend 1 tomato into juice;
cut chicken into small pieces; put to stock pan, add 3 cups of water, bring to boil; add tomato pieces and juice and safflower; cook until chicken is tender, add 1/2 cup of your choice of vegetable, season lightly

Benefits: tomato is a wonderful source for vitamin A, B, C, D and minerals; safflower promotes blood circulation, ease swells, bruises; use regularly can reduce freckles and blemishes; eases menstrual cramps.

Tuna and salmon

Very good source for omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin B3, B12, B6, iron, niacin, protein, etc. Regular oily fish consumption not only keeps cholesterol level normal reduces the risks of heart attacks and stroke, it also helps keep skin maintain its thickness and elasticity, and postpones the aging of skin.
